There
are two annual meetings:
a winter gathering in Washington DC, and an annual spring pilgrimage to
Rome. Each meeting is extraordinary in its own way.
Annual Winter Gathering in Washington
During the time of the annual Board of Trustees meeting, the Stewards
of Saint Peter participate in two days of spiritual and cultural activities.
Daily Mass is celebrated with the Stewards. The event concludes with a
reception and dinner to honor new Stewards at the Holy Father’s
home in the United States, the Apostolic Nunciature (the Vatican Embassy).
Annual Spring Pilgrimage to Rome
For Stewards of Saint Peter, the highlight of the year has been the annual
pilgrimage to Rome. The pilgrimage usually begins about ten days after
Easter and a visit with the Holy Father has been customary. It is there
that the Stewards of Saint Peter can offer not only their financial support
but they can also pledge their prayers and fidelity to the the Holy Father,
the Vicar of Christ on earth.
The Rome event includes the presentation of the Stewards of Saint Peter
gift to the Holy Father to support and help him with his requested programs
and missions throughout the world. The pilgrimage concludes with the Recognition
Dinner where the Stewards have the opportunity to meet the leading Cardinals
of the Roman Curia and other Vatican officials.
It Starts With Your Pledge
Stewards of Saint Peter make a $1 million gift through one of several
giving options:
- Cash
- Pledge
- Stock
- Property
- Deferred gift
The $1 million pledge should be completed within ten years with an annual
minimum gift of $100,000.
Can you help the Holy Father fulfill his mission by becoming a Steward
of Saint Peter?
